TAB Wrapper Tornado Adds Both Compression And Side Support to Resist Shifting
Reading, PA: The TAB Wrapper Tornado orbital wrapping system from packaging machinery manufacturer TAB Industries, LLC, Reading, Pa. (www.tabwrapper.com), compresses stackable, nestable parts together, presses them into the pallet, and provides vital side support to create a stable pallet load that resists sliding during transport and remains intact upon arrival. Wrapping plastic film 360 degrees under and around the pallet and its load, the TAB Wrapper Tornado combines both top down compression and lateral rigidity to replace both horizontal wrappers, which cannot provide compression, and strapping and banding, which risk tearing the box or container and damaging the product, especially as the load weight increases.
Ideal for protecting aluminum, copper, ferrous and other metal parts fabricated in stackable shapes, the clever packaging system eliminates the potential for scratches, scuffs and other damage from part to part contact that commonly occurs when parts shift and jostle unchecked inside a container. “By using the orbital wrapper, we have eliminated product from being damaged during transport and reduced our overall reject rate by up to 5 percent,” says Nick LaVigne, plant manager for Monti, Inc., Greenwood, SC. By allowing storage and transport in neat stacks, the orbital wrapper also promotes efficient use of space inside boxes and other containers without need for dunnage.
The TAB Wrapper Tornado orbital wrappers are designed and manufactured at the company’s Reading, Pa. headquarters and are delivered tested, assembled and ready for installation. A full warranty is included.
